Today I will measure the size and weight of the offshore wind turbine with you, and tell you their height and weight with the data.
At present, there are many wind power manufacturers in China, and there are many types of wind power, and they are divided into two types: direct drive and double-fed. This article uses direct drive units of representative models as an example to illustrate these big data:
1. Model and capacity:
If the model of a unit is 2500/100, then it means that the full power of the generator is 2500KW, and the diameter of the impeller is 100 meters.
What is the concept of 2500KW? If this unit is at full power, it will generate 2500 kWh per hour.
2. Weight
The major components of the wind turbine are composed of the main engine, tower, hub, blades, and generator. What is the weight of these components? Take a medium-sized unit as an example.
Medium-sized fans over 450 tons
Engine room: 43 tons
Total tower weight: 216 tons
Wheel hub: 42 tons
3 blades: 58.5 tons, each with a length of about 69 meters
Generator: 83 tons
Connecting bolts used: more than 4400
Total weight: about 443 tons
3. Transportation
Sea transportation: currently 900 kilometers long.
The coastline is not all involved yet
Transport ship: 80-100 meters long and 18 meters wide.

The offshore construction has a high risk, and each process step, equipment size and weight must be accurately grasped, so that these giant power stations can be safely and reliably installed and put into use.
